Allan: We're in Ireland

Just a note to let you know we're in Ireland and have a little bit of catching up to do on the Blog. We arrived in Dublin, rented a car and headed Northwest to Donegal. We spent three days there, one of which we spent at the 'Giant's Causeway' (more on that later). We stayed at a lovely B&B, the Coxtown Manor, www.coxtownmanor.com . We then traveled to Cong, south, and have spent the last 3 days at Ashford Castle (I've always wanted to stay at a castle!) www.ashford.ie . Needless to say, it has been a delightful stay. I love the old world charm, literally (the castle was started in 1228), the grounds and the setting on Lake Corrib (more on this later...). We're safe and sound, today heading to Galway...and the countryside is even more beautiful in person than any picture book, if that's even possible. Love to you all.

  1. Hello David and Allen,

How incredible the dome is. And I was so glad to see a picture of Bath. That will always be associated with Chaucer as probably it is with most everyone from school days.

    Sending you love,

    Ashley
